The Plateau Treasures Buffet at The Place
Start a sensational culinary journey at The Place’s new buffet - “The Plateau Treasures”, combining seasonal worldwide seafood, rare delicacies from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau such as yak and Tibetan lamb, as well as refreshing summer fruit desserts.
Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Yak and Lamb and Premium Iced Seafood
During the dinner buffet period, each adult and senior guest will receive a complimentary serving of a gourmet dish, including Australian Wagyu Beef Cubes with Onions and Black Pepper Sauce on Pot, Roasted Caribbean Lobster Tail with Garlic and Herbs Butter (half pc) etc. The yak and lamb hailing from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are prized for their exceptional quality and distinctive flavour, which inspires the culinary team of The Place to curate the new buffet theme, such as Roasted Tibetan Plateau Yak Tomahawk Steak, Whole Roasted Qinghai-Tibet Yak Ribeye, and Roasted Tibetan Plateau Lamb Rack, each infused with the unique taste of the highlands. The buffet offers a wide selection of seafood, featuring the newly launched Hokkaido Hairy Crab, hailed as the "King of Crabs", one of Hokkaido's three renowned crabs. Additional offerings include Horsehair Crab Snow Crab Leg (from Canada or Russia), Canadian Lobster Claw and more. During the dinner buffet from Monday to Sunday, we are excited to offer Chilled Canadian Lobster and Fresh Oysters. For the lunch buffet on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, Fresh Oysters and a selection of premium seafood will be available. The culinary team have also curated an array of hot delicacies from both Western and Chinese cuisines*, including pan-seared foie gras, Hainanese Chicken with Fragrant Oil Rice, Whole Roasted Suckling Pig with Pineapple Chutney, Salmon en Croûte, Hong Kong Typhoon Shelter-style Fried Local Crab, and more Chinese cuisine lovers can enjoy handcrafted dim sum, such as Tomato and Mixed Seafood Dumpling, Deep-fried Pear-shaped Glutinous Dumpling, Steamed Whole Abalone with Tangerine Peel, and Poached Clams with Sake on Pot. Executive Pastry Chef Roy Ma and his team have meticulously crafted over 15 kinds of desserts featuring seasonal exotic fruits, including Pandan D24 Durian Chiffon Cake, Passion Fruit Banana Milk Chocolate Crunch Cake, Calamansi Guawa Pudding, Passion Fruit, and freshly baked Passion Fruit Souffle. The beloved MÖVENPICK® ice cream cart will be on-site, where pastry chefs will prepare ice cream sandwiches.
Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet
The Place also bring in Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet, available every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat iced Crayfish, Snow Crab Legs, Blue Mussels and Poached Prawns at the Seafood Station; as well as a selection of Sushi, Salad and Cold Cuts. Newly-added highlights are local bites including Hong Kong-style Swiss Chicken Wings, Wok-fried Pork Ribs with Garlic and Chili, Mini-sized Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf, Hong Kong-style Soy Sauce Fried Noodles and more. Other international hot dishes such as Roast Baby Pork Ribs with BBQ Sauce and Deep-fried Prawn Toast will also be available. Guests with a sweet tooth cannot miss the large spread of desserts including Grass Jelly Station, Macanese Egg Tarts, Yuzu Macaroon and nine flavours of MÖVENPICK® Ice Cream etc., The Place’s The Plateau Treasures with free-flow beverage package (including house wines, juices and soft drinks) is available during lunch and dinner hours.
